The remnants of the history of the existence of dinosaurs are still sought by the research team to date. Recently, teams of scientists in the UK found mysterious footprints from dinosaurs. The research team strongly suspected that the traces came from Tiranosaurus Rex ancestors or often called T Rex.

The footprints of the dinosurus were found on the east coast of Isle of Skye, Scotland. The scientific team believes that the footprints are more than 170 million years old. Before being found, the footprints were located in a lagoon and covered with silt.

The teams that found 50 tracks at Skye's location believed that the trail was made by an older species of T Rex. You could say the group of dinosaurs are cousins of T Rex, most of whom are 6 feet tall.

Because the discovery of the trail is not the first time, the research team believes that the location was once a gathering place for dinosaur groups. Includes theropods and sauropods, which have long necks like brontosaurus.

Previously, scientists first discovered traces of dinosaurs in 2015. The discovery was located near the same area, namely Skye. However, this one fossil is in rocks older than the first rock they found.

The team of scientists also saw that the prints of the footprints were larger than the theropods which only ranged from 20 inches.

Meanwhile, this new discovery reached 27 inches. Scientists also strongly suspect that these footprints were indeed made by sauropod species.

"The more we look at the Isle of Skyle, the more dinosaur footprints have been discovered. This new site notes that there are two types of dinosaurs, long-necked cousins of brontosaurs and cousins with fangs such as T Rex that roam in shallow lagoons," said Dr Steve Brusatte from University of Edinburgh, leader of the field team, launched Mirror, Wednesday (4/4/2018).

Dr. Brusatte said that the animals lived on Skye, back when Scotland was much warmer.

From these findings, there is a high possibility to break the assumption that dinosaurs do not always live on land alone. They can also take a long time in the water but not for swimming, but for food. A warm environment can provide many food sources in it.

Scientists are currently analyzing these footprints. The discovery site is located in a tidal area at Brothers' Point, on the Skye Trotternish peninsula.
